OK...........so I'm paralyzed and I've been in a wheelchair most of my life. I'm right handed, but my right hand is paralyzed. Should I cry about it? I'm too busy designing web pages and building sites everyday. But everybody needs a break, so each evening, my wife gets me OUT OF MY HOSPITAL BED, and I go out to the shop to work at my hobby, making custom knives by hand.
My Grandmother raised me during most of my formative years; she often would quote to me a number of old sayings and words of wisdom she had collected throughout her life. I loved it too when she read to me from a book of America’s best loved poems. How I wish I had that old book today. At five years old I sat snuggled up at her side while listening to poems such as, The Charge of The Light Brigade, Trees, and The Raven, just to name a few.

Senator Harry Reid – Putting Nevada First
My New Website
Dear fellow Nevadan,
My life, hopes, dreams, and future changed forever on August 12, 1962.
I was 15 years old at the time. My brother and I had decided to go swimming at Cuivre River State Park, a few miles east of Troy, Missouri. Sugar Creek had a couple of swimming holes where we had swam since our early years.
On my first dive into the creek that day............I BROKE MY NECK.
In 1962 most victims of broken necks died. My brother saved my life. He dived in after me and saved me from drowning, then rushed to the park's ranger station to call an ambulance.
I was born at home on October 28, 1946 in Wenzville, Missouri.
I guess that makes me one of the original, "Baby Boomers."
My 18 year old mother was pregnant with my brother when my father shipped out overseas to fight in WW II. He was born at my grandmother's home, October 28, 1943 in Troy, Missouri.
My sister was born in St. Joseph Hospital, February 1, 1949 in St. Charles, Missouri.
